LOST CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD

Since the days of Cortés, rumors have circulated about a lost city of immense wealth hidden somewhere in the Honduran interior. Indigenous tribes warn that anyone who enters this city will fall ill and die. IIn 2012, Doug Preston joined a team of scientists on a groundbreaking new quest. Using lidar, a highly advanced, classified technology that could map the terrain under the densest rainforest canopy, it revealed the image of a sprawling metropolis, evidence of a lost civilization. Venturing into this treacherous wilderness to confirm the discovery, they battled torrential rains, insects, and deadly snakes.
